The Red Studio is a gable fronted structure located in Skeiðflötur in the south of Iceland and is based on a traditional Viking house (langhús)

The studio is constructed from timber and finished with red metal panels refencing the local vernacular.

The Studio (skáli) contains a space to paint and sketch, a kitchen, a seating area and outside storage and toilet. The space is heated by a large log burner. The space is lit with natural light from the landscape in summer and LED lighting in the winter months.

The Studio provides a permanent space for the client to paint and be creative.
