Karl has been a key and constant figure of support throughout this project, from the first sketches, through the design and planning period, and during the build. At all times I've been able to rely on his creativity, attention to detail and level headedness to overcome all the challenges that naturally occur on any construction project.
The design for the project managed to balance being striking, whilst fitting the context perfectly, and crucially he was able to communicate that vision effectively to all the trades working on site in a way they could understand.

I met Karl whilst I was working for a major developer in the UK. His work (seedpods) which had originated from providing much needed private space in secure settings really resonated with me. We had 14 acres of public realm which was very windy and sat adjacent to a large homeless community. We purchased several seedpods which provided temporary respite and shelter from the wind and rain. The cool design and sound functionality was loved by the local kids, office workers and displaced community.
His design allowed us to be kinder space managers and I’m grateful for his prompt delivery and approachable pricing of this important element. The fact it was light but could be anchored meant it was moveable to other assets around the country so has been appreciated by a larger audience. A true design intervention that was cool, egalitarian and designed for the people.
