Laurel Bank Farm

2023- on site
Laurel Bank Farm is situated in the Wharfedale Valley (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) North Yorkshire. The property sits in a 1.48 acre plot and is surrounded by rolling farmland and heather moorlands.
Laurel Bank Farm is no longer a working farm and has been sold to our client who wishes to renovate the main barn into a new family home. The main barn is built from local stone with a slate pitched roof. The barn has two large arched openings and a series of haylofts.
The project will retain all the original features and incorporate them into the new design. The centre of the barn will house the new kitchen with a living room and office to either side. A raised balcony above the kitchen will provide access to the first floor bedrooms. A new single storey side extension will be added to provide additional space for a dinning room and guest bedroom and will form the new entrance to the home.
The two large existing arched barn doors will be fitted with glass to provide views into the landscape.
